01 — Counter Reality

The Support Cost of Vague Filament Specs

Every unclear label eventually becomes a conversation at your counter — or a product coming back across it.

PROBLEM 01

Customers return filament they can’t use

The wrong material for their printer or project comes back to the counter — a refund, a restock and the same conversation again.

PROBLEM 02

Staff can’t answer material questions

PLA or PETG, which temperature range, which spool for functional parts — without clear specs, counter staff end up guessing.

PROBLEM 03

Packaging arrives crushed

Damaged boxes look poor on the shelf before a single spool is sold — and get discounted or written off.

PROBLEM 04

Color mismatch complaints

A spool that doesn’t match the previous order’s shade creates complaints your staff have to absorb — and repeat purchases that don’t happen.

02 — How FilaSource Responds

Give Staff a Clear Answer for Why Each SKU Is on the Shelf

Four practices that take the load off the counter.

RESPONSE 01

Clear printed specs & print ranges

Every spool carries printed specifications and material-specific print ranges from current labels: 1.75mm with a stated tolerance of ±0.02mm, 1kg — PLA nozzle 200–230 °C / bed 45–65 °C, PETG nozzle 220–255 °C / bed 50–80 °C.

RESPONSE 02

Material guidance you can reuse

Selection guidance across PLA, PLA+, Matte PLA and PETG that staff can repeat at the counter and listings can quote — see the material selection guide.

RESPONSE 03

Assortment built around your customer base

Core colors and materials first, visual-effect series where a premium shelf makes sense — mapped to who actually buys from you, with quotation bands for staged stocking.

RESPONSE 04

Vacuum packing protects shelf presentation

Each spool is vacuum-sealed with desiccant in an individual box (21.1 × 19.8 × 6.3 cm) — packaging that survives freight and still looks right on the shelf.

04 — How It Works

From Customer Base to Replenished Shelf

STEP 01

Share your customer base

Who buys from you — hobbyists, schools, professionals — and what they print. The assortment is built around that.

STEP 02

Receive an assortment proposal

Counter, premium and functional placements mapped to quotation bands at 10+, 100+, 500+ and 1,000+ spools.

STEP 03

Validate in-store

Test selected spools on a shop printer under your own settings before committing stock.

STEP 04

Stock, explain, replenish

Staff answer from printed specs and guidance; reorders follow lead times confirmed in writing — around 10–15 days standard, subject to factors.

05 — Before You Order

Retailer Questions, Answered Directly

What print settings can our staff share with customers?
Ranges from current labels: PLA nozzle 200–230 °C / bed 45–65 °C, PETG nozzle 220–255 °C / bed 50–80 °C. All spools are 1.75mm with a stated tolerance of ±0.02mm. Our material selection guide gives staff a simple PLA / PLA+ / Matte PLA / PETG comparison to lean on.
How is each spool protected for shelf presentation?
Each 1kg spool is vacuum-sealed with desiccant and packed in an individual box (21.1 × 19.8 × 6.3 cm). Standard export carton: 10 spools, 34 × 22.5 × 41.6 cm, approx. 13.1 kg gross, 0.031824 CBM.
Can we sell under our own brand?
Yes. OEM/ODM packaging — labels, color boxes, spools, barcodes and manuals — is available with a reference MOQ of 1,000 spools per design, confirmed per project. Standard packaging can be ordered within the regular quotation bands.
What if a customer reports a problem with a spool?
Keep the lot number from the packaging. Lot identification traces finished spools back to raw material, and a written complaint procedure defines how issues are handled — so your customer gets an investigation path instead of a general answer.
