Add a Clear PLA+ Step-Up Tier Without Overloading Your Range

Use PLA+ Basic as the solid-color option, then test Silk and Silk Rainbow where a high-sheen finish supports a higher shelf tier. All three series use the same 1.75mm / 1kg spool format.

02 — Winding & Consistency

Ask for Winding and Inspection Evidence, Not a Vague Performance Claim

At the assessed manufacturing partner, winding stations use controlled parameters alongside QC coverage and written inspection records. Use a test sample and the available production evidence to judge feeding behavior on your own spool holders and printers.

  • 1.75mm diameter with a stated tolerance of ±0.02mm.
  • 100% finished inspection plus random sampling on every series.
  • Lot identification traces finished spools back to raw material.
  • Each spool vacuum-sealed with desiccant before it is boxed.

04 — Before You Ask

PLA+ Sourcing, Answered Directly

How does PLA+ differ from standard PLA?
PLA+ Basic, Silk and Silk Rainbow create three assortment roles: a solid-color tier and two high-sheen visual tiers. Validate the printing behavior and finish on your own printers before choosing the SKUs for your range.
Is the silk sheen only a surface effect?
The sheen is the surface finish of the Silk series, printed from the same 1.75mm spec as every other series (±0.02mm stated tolerance, 1kg, vacuum-sealed). Appearance can vary with slicer settings and lighting — confirm the effect with a sample on your hardware.
What print settings should I use?
Start from PLA-typical ranges and confirm the exact settings on the label of each spool and during sample testing. Record the printer, nozzle and temperatures you validate with, so repeat orders can be compared lot by lot.
Can I trial PLA+ before a volume order?
Quotation bands start at 10+ spools and selected in-stock products may support small trial orders. Standard production lead time after confirmation is around 10–15 days, subject to material, color, quantity, packaging and schedule.

Test the filament before you scale the order.
